hYou might ask what’s so unforgettable? It’s my girl’s first time in uniform!
And once she put on this magic uniform, she stop crying. I wondered how. But, it just happened. So unbelievable! May it because she was touched. As mummy try to look into her eyes and keep hugging her, showing 2 thumbs up last night, while trying to convince her to become a brave girl who will never cry in school? So, she finally decided to be as brave as Bumble Bee. Yes! She loves TRANSFORMER! Ha!
Or may it because the uniform makes her feels as the same group with her friends in school. Sense of belonging I mean. Or it just simply means ” I like the uniform”. Hehe…..
Anyway, mummy was so touched. Tears nearly burst out just because of this simple occasion. Cause it really means so big to mummy. May be all the while mummy appeared to be so cruel. Just keep sending her to school even though she sheds tears.
The truth is… mummy is not cruel at all. Not as tough as it seems too. Mummy actually feels so sorry and upset, each and every time sees her crying. So worried! But, I have to pretend nothing big and just be persistent. As that’s the only way to help little Elizabeth understands that there is always something we need to obey even though we don’t really like it. Also, she just have to learn to be independent.
And, you did it! You did it great! Mummy is so proud of you, darling! And, you really look great wearing the uniform. So pretty! Just keep up with that sweet smile. Love you!
Yesterday afternoon, “Kakak” went out shopping with my mum after little Elizabeth fell asleep. But, this little girl woke up before the maid come home. She cried. Keep crying for “kakak”.
Mummy then carry her into daddy’s office to see the fishes in the aquarium. Still, she was rolling on the floor, kicking and pushing mummy and the sofa. Well, mummy don’t want her to torture herself, neither the office furniture.
So, the same old trick. Mummy have to carry her walk around the house, showing her every corner, then explained to her slowly that even if she cry, “Kakak” can never hear it as she is not around.
It works like all the other times. Thanks for being so thoughtful, my dear! But, she still asked for the maid every now and then. Since the maid is leaving next week, mummy decided to talk. Try to explain that the maid is leaving.
Mummy told her something like, the maid is not part of the family. She just work here. She will be going back to Indo next week. Then, new “Kakak” will come and replace her work. Little Elizabeth keep quiet while listening to mummy.
“Mummy, we go Indonesia.” replied little Elizabeth after mummy stop talking.
“But, we don’t have house there, we can’t stay there for long. Only “kakak” stay there with her family.” I try to explain again.
“Er… I go Indonesia with “kakak”? ” Asked Elizabeth.
“You want to follow “Kakak”?” asked mummy.
“Hmm.” replied Elizabeth.
“Then, you will not see mummy and daddy again. Is that ok?” mummy asked.
She keep quiet for 1 or 2 minutes.
“I go Indonesia. Bye bye!” That’s her final answer.
*Sob Sob* Mummy want to cry now. Frankly, tears nearly burst out from mummy’s eyes. And, a bit worried what’s going to happen next week when “kakak” is not coming back anymore. Hopefully she likes the new maid.
How about that? Cute aye? Cause that’s her favorite lesson — “Kinder Beat”. She called it “music class”.
Frankly, this lesson is not cheap. So let’s see weather it’s worth it or not.
Wow! That’s full involvement. And, she is very sharp in term of catching the rhythm, following all the movement very well. Thus, very worthy.
On the other hand, every time before we depart to her kindy, she will says: “Don’t want to go to school. I want to go music class. However, she is happily waving goodbye and surely got lots to tell at the moment she leaves the school. Hahaha……
And, that’s where she learn to socialize. Before she goes to school, mummy always see the message of “Don’t talk to me” from her face, when the aunties (other parents) in the music class try to talk to her. Totally unfriendly to strangers.
But, she was far too willing to chit chat with almost every aunties in the class this past Sunday. What a big step! Just 2 weeks in school, she becomes so much friendlier. Looks like she benefited from both places.
Yeah… why blow? If anything is too hot, just put in some ice. And, normally she will go to the wall, pretending she is getting some ice from the fridge. Hahaha……
Mummy realized her imagination can run really wild these days. So cute!
Today, this little cheeky suddenly interested in being a chef. She has been cooking and making coffee for hours. Cooking with real beans, plastic materials and play dough since she came home from school, also after she woke up from her afternoon nap. As what we saw in the video, she even sing along. So enjoyable.
How come suddenly so into cooking? But, it’s good! As this might mean there will be someone willing to cook for the family in the future, even without the maid. Well, as long as you are willing to cook, mummy promised the kitchen will be redesign anytime exactly as what pleases you. Be it glass tile, stained glass or granite. Hahahaha……
Today is already her 8th day in school. She will keep shouting “Kakak… Kakak…” as kakak drop her in the car before we depart to school. Sometimes, she cried for daddy. But, it’s still “mummy… mummy…” after the car has moved. Hahaha……
Mummy knew she enjoyed schooling. As she never cry after school. Sh eonly cry for less than 2 minutes after she thought mummy has left. She is expecting to eat breakfast in school. She will tell what’s she doing in school. She will hums the songs she learn in school. She even take the lead to kiss her class teacher last Friday.
Most importantly, she is getting less and less tantrum after school. Never have nightmares about school anymore. *Sigh* And, what did she learn in school? At least, she will let us tie her hair after the teacher did once. And, she started to tell before she “wee wee”. Not all the time, but more frequent.
However, she still don’t like to take out her shoes by herself. Well, this should be the consequences of having a maid to take care of the little ones all the time.
These “Whole Brain Audio Subliminal Method” which carry the title of “Successful Child” and “Genius Power” are from Innertalk. They are specially bought for my little princess.
So that good affirmations such as “I am happy”, ” I enjoy school”, “I am a good student”, “I like people”, “I can concentrate easily”, ” I learn easily”, “I do my best” , “I make friends easily”, “I am patient”, “I am attentive” from the title “Successful Child” will be input for little Elizabeth subconsciously and will help her to like her school life.
Just like an insurance. But, not the ordinary life or business insurance. It’s for her happy life, be it in school or at home with positive thoughts and attitudes. What do you think? After all, mummy really believe in the power of subconscious brain. It’s absolutely worth trying.
By the way, she started using it since Sunday. Nothing great has yet to be seen. Of course, mummy understand that this products need time to work well. So, just have faith. Wait and see.
So, how’s the 3rd day in school? Woke up, get changed and waited at the door happily. Can’t wait to get down as the school teacher open the car door and greet her. Wow! Amazing!
So… “Bye baby! See you later!” mummy said.
“No! Mummy……” Little Elizabeth cried immediately.
The school teacher laughed and quickly carry her into the class. On the other hand, mummy stop my car aside and listened. After about 2 minutes, I leave as she stopped crying.
“Oh! I am sure you will enjoy your yoga class today. Have fun!”
Mummy is right. She seems very happy after school.
By the way, Mummy actually buy her some “fancy name stickers”. And, she likes those with dogs. She said:” The puppy is so cute!” LOL!
What’s these for? At least something new for her to show the teacher. Might be a good trick to motivate her to go school. May be later mummy will even give her some stationery to give her friends. As she still don’t know how to make friends. Hehe……
She said:” Let’s go!”. And happily went into the car with smile. But, as mummy trying to leave her after she took out her shoes and walked into the class, she cried. God bless! As it only last for less than 3 minutes.
Then, mummy called the principle in between the school hours.
“She is running happily in the playground now. But before that, she was looking for mummy. Every now and then, there will be:”Where is mummy?”. But, she seems ok. As she will stopped crying and listened to teacher’s explanation. Just she will still ask for mummy after that. I think she can take it. She seems understand. I think it’s ok to let her stay until 12 noon.”
Alright! So, mummy picked her up at 12 noon. She cried immediately when she saw mummy. But, stop crying once mummy carry her.
she is perfectly ok in her new school this morning, all by herself. Even though it is a totally new environment for her. Very good girl! Mummy is so proud of you, baby!
This seems impossible, right? Thanks to the 2 weeks right brain development holiday program which lets mummy stick with her in the class for the past 2 weeks. That’s the trick which raised her confidence in schooling I guess.
The right brain development holiday program which actually organized by her music school finally ended last Friday. As you can see from the picture above, this little girl enjoyed the SI moments so much. Little Elizabeth just won’t mind sweating a lot. Those crawling, jumping, bouncing and walking really make her happier.
Just the opposite from mummy. Mummy would rather let a massage chair to do the work outs. And, has always think of the best diet pills first, if anyone around mentioned about loosing weight. Hahahaha……. You are a real heroin of mine, baby!
By the way, little Lizzy also benefited a lot from the “find the difference” sessions and speed flashing. So, mummy and Elizabeth will join this program together again in July.
And, mummy is kind of confident that baby will like this new school as much as her music class. As mummy can see that she likes the teachers here. At least you talked to them. In fact, mummy like their smiles too.
She knows that mummy is trying to stop her from watching TV. But, little Elizabeth is such a good girl. She never complain much or either show her tantrum as her TV time being almost completely cut out.
Just now, she was sitting on the sofa right in front of the TV. And, out of the sudden she said: “Mummy…… I watch TV!” Loud and clear. As mummy turned around from blogging on the computer, I saw her looking at me with her cheeky look and smile.
Guess what? Obviously, she was trying to attract mummy’s attention. And, surprisingly she is also using the right trick. This is absolutely one good example of how cheeky this little girl is. You really good at teasing people, my dear! Even at the age of 2. LOL!
Today should be a black Wednesday for little Lizzy. As she knocked her head once on mummy’s cheek while she was running towards me to hug me, then 3 of her friends in the class fell on her later in music session, yet her big toe of the left leg get hurt badly until bleeding as she accidentally kicked on the wooden table leg near the end of the program. All happened during the Right Brain Development Holiday Program in this morning.
Of course she cried. Poor girl!
Luckily, these are all minor injuries. And, she is playing and smiling happily again once she woke up from her afternoon nap about an hour ago. Just be more careful next time, ok?
Usually she wants to “read” on her own. She will only flip quickly, point to the pictures and learn from single words. Surprise! Surprise! This little girl enjoyed story time now. She will let mummy finished reading a few short stories for her in one shot. Sometimes, even one whole book of “Peter and Jane”.
Moreover, her reading time has increased to twice a day now. It all began since we leave the TV aside.
Also, thanks to these new interesting stories too which we bought in a secondhand bookstore. May be you are more familiar with wholesale computers. Yeah… That’s always a good bargain. So do these secondhand books. Still like brand new, but only sold at half of the original price. Mummy call this smart spending. Hahaha……
And, mummy especially favors the “Science Stories for Children”. As the stories are very simple, but incorporated with colorful pictures. Thus, interesting and informative.
By the way, looks like less TV really improved her attention spent.
And, she said:” Horse poop poop, cao cao (smelly in Hokkien).” when mummy showed her the horse stools. Hahaha……
Thanks to Penang Turf Club open days. At least, Elizabeth has an enjoyable weekend. At first, she said:” Go pet shop.” But, once she saw horses in the Penang Turf Club, she was happy with it. At least she get a chance to see the real horse carriage, pony, donkey and horses.
Little Elizabeth enjoyed the funny clown shows too. However, it’s really hot. Thus, it just isn’t fun for daddy, mummy, grandma, and grandauntie. So, we went home without exploring the pony ride and horse jumping show.
In fact, Elizabeth cheeks were burning. So that’s enough. Let’s go home, baby!
Later, we visited the Penang International Flower Exhibition once again.
See… I am so sticky and tired.
Wow…Cool! At least I feel better. Not so hot anymore.
She surely had fun spending some precious time together with her favorite grand auntie too.
Since May, she was trained to live without TV. Of course, we will still watch a movie together once in a while. It’s just another family time.
Anyway, the training is quite success. She never ask for TV in the afternoon anymore. She will only spend less than an hour in front of the computer for some movie trailers and phonics programs. Yes! Movie trailers is a good choice to switch her from watching too much TV. As the trailers normally will last less than 3 minutes. Creative huh? Hahaha……
And, I realized there are also fantastic free learning programs for toddlers online. All of all, thanks to the internet. As we can buy books, food, fashion, almost everything, even ceiling fans online.
Also, thanks to your cooperation, baby! Mummy is so proud of you.
Last month, she started to have her own friends at home.
“Pooh Pooh and Brown Bear, my friends. Elizabeth, Pooh Pooh and brown bear sit and play. ” She said.
Alright. Mummy understands that she need friends now. So, little Elizabeth has been joining a 2 weeks right brain development holiday program since the 1st of June. She seems like it. She never refuse to go. Mummy is happy for her.
Right on the other side, we have cashier machine, weighting machine, and some coins.
We also bought this from Tesco. As you can see, it’s a 2 in 1 Kitchen and Stall set.
For the first 2 days, she was so happy. Busy cooking for everyone in the house whole day long. She also invited mummy to be the chef and she will be the customer. So, the whole game will be whoever ordered the food needs to pay the seller ( Yeah… need to pay as there is money in the set), which is also the stall’s owner and chef. Er… remember to collect the used plate, knife and fork , then wash them under the basin, ok? Hahaha……
But today, she just stop by the kitchen for less than 10 minutes. OMG! So, what’s next? Barbie doll? How about we just utilized what we have at home. Playing with the real things instead of toys. May be other role play?
For example, baby Elizabeth can become the beautician, and mummy will be your client. You can offer your client lifting massage, treatment for acne, whitening and slimming. Moreover, this time you will make lots of dollar notes while your client sign up for the expensive courses. No more coins. How about that, baby? Fun? Hahahaha……
She has fully recovered from flu on the 30th of May. Just 2 days. She certainly grow stronger.
So, we went for shopping at Tesco on Sunday. As little Elizabeth said she wants to buy toys. See… daddy and mummy will always try our best to fulfill her simple requests. It’s good to let her make her own decision since young. So that she always know what she wants in the future. More goal orientated. Hehe…
And, even someone who is very goal orientated needs creativity and dedication or concentration to fulfill the aim especially in career. Thus, we bought this.
Though that mummy can do it together with her and she will learn to fix it. Also, she shall be very happy to see this thing moving after we had complete the fixing. End up, mummy and “kakak” have to do the job. And, we are still cracking our head to complete it. Ha! Obviously, this is too hard for this little girl. Even for mummy and “kakak”, it just ain’t easy at all. Hahahaha……
Daddy said:” I want to see her skating.” (It’s been some time daddy never join us in the playground.)
Alright! Here you go.
LOL! Please roll! Mummy is taking video, you don’t have to post. Hahahaha……
Anyway, at least she is sliding on her own. Yeah… But, it’s still like walking. Hahaha……
May be mummy should buy a pair of skates and show her how to roll like the wind. Do you want to join us, daddy?
To this little one, playground time is precious. If it’s at home, she enjoys digging out mummy’s necklaces, diamond rings, make ups, skin cares, bras and even sanitary pads. And, mummy get a shock when she was trying to show mummy how to use the sanitary pad. OMG! Hahaha……
Now, 39 degree. Hot! Very hot! And, vomited this morning. When she vomited, she said:” I want to show daddy.” (Because mummy is still sleeping. LOL!) Poor girl!
One after another, first it’s daddy. Now, it’s little Elizabeth. And, it’s always like that. By the way, she already took the medicine. Mummy will cook jelly for her later. May be more oranges for her too. And, longer TV time. So that it appeared to be a lucky day to her.
In fact, she is playing happily. Very good girl. And, it’s so pitiful to see her crying out loud while mummy is trying to feed her the medicine. Sorry, baby!
Mummy is studying a lot on SM recently. So interested in helping my little princess to develop her right brain. Unfortunately, there is no SM school in Penang. So, I bought a book on SM and try to learn from it.
I started to communicate with my girl through thoughts before or after she sleep. One simple try. Normally, she will wake up around 9 to 10 am. So, I told her to wake up on 8am every morning. Remember, it’s a silent communication, only through thoughts. Surprisingly, she did it! It works so well for the past 3 days. Hard to believe. But, it’s so attractive. Hopefully, it continues to work for the days to come. LOL!
Obviously, our right brain is so powerful. But, it works in a very different way. So, I also try to play background music for her while she was reading. Besides, I play some learning CDs for her too while she was playing. It becomes so convenient to do it when I recorded all the needed sounds into MP3 players.
Supposedly, these methods are easier for her to remember what’s on the book when there is soft background music on play. And, she will also stored all the ABCs and 123 into her brain unknowingly, if we play the learning CDs for her during her play time.
Well, this is nothing difficult. Worth trying. And, with no expectation, there is always surprises.
Yesterday, “Gong Gong” called. She was so happy. She wanted to answered the phone. Usually, she will just listen. And, surpirse! For the first time, she started to respond while daddy was hinting her at the side.
“Hello, Poh Poh.”
“Hello, Gong Gong.”
“I miss you, Poh Poh.”
“Bye.”
But, in a very soft voice tone, as soft as the mouse making noise. Hahahaha……
Good try! Happy for you, baby! Anyway, “Poh Poh” is leaving to Bangkok soon. May be we will visit “Poh Poh” tomorrow for one last time before “Poh Poh” fly.
Last weekend, we go no where but only stay at home besides sending little Elizabeth to Kinder Beat. Daddy and mummy knew she was kind of boring. So, we finally spend an hour on the beach upon request. This lovely princess loves beach.
But last weekend, we had wonderful time in “Poh Poh” and “Gong Gong” house.
Cool! Mummy’s future pianist! Ops… she can even become a composer. As composing music becomes so easy with the help of laptop computer and the software used to compose music. Hahaha……
“She has to stop watching TV. Once toddlers are addicted to TV, it’s very hard for them to concentrate in their studies after 6 years old.”
That’s the comment mummy get from most experienced early childhood specialist. Alright! Mummy is not taking the risk anymore. Busy cutting down her TV time. You will have more TV time after 6 years old. Mummy promised!
In this case, little Elizabeth has to go back to school in June. The timing should be right now. As this little girl is hunger for friends now. Most importantly, nursery has good preparation for everyday activities compared to your home sweet home. Also, it’s good join your peers and learn some team work.
This is one of little Elizabeth’s good habit which really makes mummy feels so proud!
She will continue to flip other pages once mummy show her one or two interesting pictures in the newspaper. And, mummy really loves the way she flips and read the newspaper like a grown man. So… cute!
As she goes through the news, mummy will tell her about everything. How car accidents happened, how to put out the fire of the burning house, what’s the use of skin care, what is efedrine, which hypermarket is on sale, what’s this, how’s that so and so on.
It’s good to know as much as you can. May it be about life, about science, about rules, and so much more. As mummy believes the more you know, the more you will understand. As you understand more, you just won’t stop looking for answers.
Good job! That’s lovely! And, a very good mother’s day gift too. Thanks you! In fact, you are the greatest gift mummy ever had. Thus, everyday is a mother’s day as mummy really enjoy your wittiness.
Today, she is already 29 months and 1 week old. She has grown up a lot to be more witty and very imaginative. An absolute drama queen and quite a fantastic singer too! :PAlso, God bless! As she eats well, sleeps well and enjoys physical activities so much. Thus, very healthy. But, one problem. She just keep talking, singing and grumbling all day long. Luckily mummy has big ears. Hahahaha……
She got 2 new lunch boxes since Monday. And, she was so excited when she first took over it from mummy’s hand. The lunch box is simple. But has all the tasty food that she loves including Baskin Robin, McD ice cream, burger and french fries, pizza, sandwiches, Coca-cola, bread and hot dog.
Mmm… so yummy! She just keep biting, chewing, drinking and licking them everyday. Luckily they are not real food. Otherwise, it’s certain that she will need rapid weight loss pill . Hahaha……
These rubber food is so tiny and cute. Elizabeth really enjoy playing with them. And, that lovely biting look, drinking sound, and licking style is certainly memorable!
Anyway, we can actually split them out into pieces then fix it back in a whole again. Fantastic mechanism. What a rare and precious toys! Besides, they can still also turn to decorative items when this little girl no longer likes to play with them. Hehe……
So sorry, baby. These few days mummy just too busy. Busy getting new “kakak” for you, also busy watching Taiwanese drama series. Once in a while, just give mummy a little bit more of “me” time, ok?
Well, may be this little princess just won’t mind. As she has “Hotel for Dogs”.
So touching! She loves this movie so much! So do mummy. Anyway, she can watched it 3 times in a row in one whole day. Hey, Girl! Many other mummies will surely warn me for giving you too much of TV time. LOL!
Frankly, mummy still take it easy. As mummy and daddy will do exactly the same thing for the movies we truly enjoy too. Mummy is not worry, as not every movie has the same effect on her.
It’s good to learn the caring and loving attitude from this movie too. And, mummy knows how much she loves dogs. Mummy actually feels so sorry sometimes for not getting a puppy for her. As mummy is worried that “Harry”will not accept another dog in this house.
Never mind. We can visit CTY every weekends like what we did now. Still so fun, right? Hehe……
We had a plan to visit the Tropical Fruit Farm. So, we were there around 11am. At the entrance, mummy started showing little Elizabeth the cempedak and durian tree. Then, before we step down to purchase the ticket….
Mummy: “There are more fruits and trees inside, you want to see? ”
Liz:”No. Go home!”
Then, little Liz just turned around and laid down on mummy’s shoulder. Straight away she fell asleep. Alright! Let’s go home and have a good nap. Hahaha……
Obviously, fruit farm is not her cup of tea. How about round Island on a boat. So later when she wake up…..
Mummy:” Go Beach? See turtle?”
Liz:” Mm!”
Good! Here we come Turtle Island and Monkey beach!
“Yoo! Hoo!” She just keep shouting and screaming against the strong wind for fun. Loud and clear!
This life jacket is so irritating, Mummy! (After all, it’s her first time on the boat. Ha!)
Need a little bit more careful walking on this wavy surface. But, I like it! Hehe……
Don’t make noise! Shh….. I am waiting for the monkey to come out.
Oh… you are so cute, little fish! Can I touch you?
Anyway, we only saw a few baby turtles in the so called Turtle Island. And, there is no time for Monkey Beach. As we spend all the time fishing on the boat right after Turtle Island. First time fishing on the deep sea, we had so much fun! Fantastic outing! And, this is what we get.
We fried it! We eat it! *Slurp* Exceptional fresh and yummy! Thus, we finished about 30 small fish within minutes. Then, we took fish and chips, also chicken chops as dinner again. Ops… That’s fattening! Well! What a wonderful Saturday! Extra ordinary family time! Who cares about dieting. There is always weight loss product. Hahaha……
Well, this is something she always left behind recently. Obviously, this little girl don’t like to eat steam fish anymore. It’s ok. Her food preference changes from time to time.
Anyway, it’s still mee and rice for lunch and dinner. But, the dishes is no longer fish ball and steam fish. Sometimes, she prefers fried fish. Most of the time she will orders vege and rice or mee and hot dogs. However, yesterday she suddenly make the order of prawns and mee. Then, she asked for chicken, prawns and rice for today’s lunch.
Huh? Seems like she wants variety now. Good! You are welcome to make any orders you like, my lady! Hahaha……
And, mummy is so proud that she always knows her limit in terms of food intake. She will just stop when she feels enough, even there is still a lot of her favorite potato chips left. Frankly, even mummy can’t have such fantastic control. Mummy can only make it with the help of appetite suppressant. LOL! So lousy! Hahahaha……
Look at this girl. She loves garden, if mummy has no time to bring her to the big playground. She enjoys picking dry sticks and fruits which dropped down from the tree. She will also looks for ants, snails and butterflies. But, most of the time she will hocked up with dozens of mosquitoes and got bit. Poor girl!
Well, she likes to run, dance and exercise in the compound of the house too.
Ladies and gentlemen, Hip Hop!
Yeah… Very adventurous! Daddy keep mentioning on more outings for this little cheeky.Mummy suggest the zoo or aquarium, best if it’s Singapore’s zoo. Daddy might want to bring her to the dinosaur exhibition in Mid Valley as dinosaur is her favorite now.
Well, may be this little girl likes something closer to the nature or a real adventure such as rv camping.
“Mummy, bicycle! “Koko” rides bicycle!” That’s what always came out from her mouth when she was in playing the playground.
May be it’s time for her to starts learning how to cycle. It’s good that if she can learn with her old small tricycle first. “Nope! That’s not something like “Koko”.”
So? Buy new one? Taa… Daa…
See! I can stand on high up on the bicycle pedals. That’s cool!
Now this is something like “Koko”. But how come you are not cycling? But showing off by standing on the pedals instead. Naughty Elizabeth!
The answer is:”I don’t know how to do it. But, you can push me around if you want to.”
Looks like cycling is not her cup of tea. Not even 10 minutes on the bicycle. Well, just put it aside. Who knows that she might be starts cycling when she wake up from one fine morning.
After all, Mummy is sure that “Poh Poh” is not going to take it back. As “Justin koko” (her cousin) is not coming to “poh Poh” house freqeuntly anymore.
Obviously, it’s a gift from “Poh Poh”.So no matter what, thank you “Poh Poh”.
We were at book fair yesterday after little Liz finished her Kinder Beat. Not much for her. Only one book.
And, these are the pictures in it. Simple. Thus, should be easy to learn. There are also soldiers, girls and cartoon figures in this book. But, Dinosaurs are her favorite.
Anyway, she can’t really draw anything out yet. No particular shape or figure. Just some lines, curves and circles. Never mind. Mummy can see that she is trying. And, She loves it.
Well, It’s time for mummy to encourage this little ones to imagine how she draws out the trees, raining scenes, waterfalls, and animals. Of course, mummy will continue to widely expose her to nature, or may be nice architectures, lively pictures and beautiful designs. That would be fun right, darling?
Who know that you might want to become an architect or fashion and pearls jewelry designer . If that’s the case, knowing how to draw is certainly very important. Hehe……
At this age, drawing is certainly good for toddler’s brain development, especially right brain development.
This is what happened when I swim with uncle Bill. He will pull my boat around in the water. Let me enjoy the blue sky and flying birds. Oh! The boat is just like a bed at that moment. So relaxing.
But, it’s been some time he never swim with me. Mummy will do it now. But today, it’s daddy’s turn. It’s kind of boring after lunch. But, I enjoyed swimming with daddy later in the evening.
Thanks to daddy keep making the stunt of jumping into the water. That’s funny! Hahahaha……
Anyway, there were times I was alone in this ladybug boat, while “kakak” will be watching at the pool side. I still enjoy myself. “Row Row Row a boat, gently down the stream…” Just keep on singing. And, Hello! please give me a net to do “fishing”.
These few days, less play dough or toys. Just keep watching TV. Dinosaur …(Jurassic Park), Dragon (Eragon) or Hulk smash (The Incredible Hulk). LOL! Kind of violent, isn’t it? Luckily she still likes to sing together with Barney shows.
Somehow, always on TV is definitely not a good habit. Definitely! And, learning to scold others is even worse. However, just look at the way she scold others. It’s so cute!
In fact, she is just imitating the teacher’s behavior in one of the trial class. LOL!
The surgery to correct her triggered thumb was fixed at 28th. Mummy and daddy had decided last Friday as what was suggested by the doctor. A once and for all treatment. Then, there was a news regarding “Multiple surgery risk in the young” publishing in The Star newspaper last Sunday.
It said that: “Studies on animals have shown that anesthetics can alter neurological development. Thus, study was made for children too. And the study found an association, not an absolute cause and effect relationship, between anesthesia and learning abilities.”
“The likelihood of having a learning disability increased as the number of surgeries involving anesthesia increased, although no added risk was found for those who had been given anesthesia just once before turning 4. Those exposed to anesthesia three or more times were about 2 1/2 times as likely to have a learning disability as those who never and anesthesia as a young child.”
So, daddy and mummy changed their mind. No more surgery. Just carry on the massage. And, so far little Elizabeth has become quite cooperative as mummy warn her that she will have to let the doctor cut her thumb, if she refused to let mummy massage her thumb.
This is my birthday cake. I like it so much! mummy said It’s my 28th months birthday. Huh? (Whatever! As long as there is birthday cake and birthday song.)
Well… Thanks to “kakak”. I blow the candle on this cake and sing the birthday song almost everyday. Everyday is my birthday, Hooray!
And, singing is my life now. I sing every minute. I even change and made my own lyrics for the rhythms that I have learned. It’s so fun to sing. As I sing, I like to move my body with the beat too. Cool! Let’s dance!
I hate school. But, mum keep sending me to trial class. Hey! Can it be beach or pet shop? Let’s “kai kai”. No school. No! But, I want to go “kai kai”. Anyone please? Hehe……
I sing… I dance… and now I speak in sentences. Thus, I can even tell stories. But, only very short one. Something within 10 words? Hehe……Well, mummy said I really can act. Yeah… I can show you how baby cries, how people blows their nose, what did the announcer says, some hip hop dances, how teacher scold the students, and fantastic decious look. And, I have 100s of different posts stand by for mummy to take pictures.
By the way, good news! Mummy let me eat prawns now. Fried prawn is yummy. But, I prefer vege and rice. It’s so good! *Slurp*
Er… also milk, potato chips, chocolates and some fruits. Apple, pink guava and banana is my favorite. I like grapes and oranges too. But, mummy said they can make me cough. Ok. So, no ice cream, no grapes and no orange juice?
Of course not. I decided to take these food once in a while.
Yes! I will make decision. No one can force me to do anything. Anything that I don’t like, I say “No!”, when I was force to do or stop doing something, I cry! Cool! Hahahaha……
So… I decide when and where to”pooh” and “wee wee” too.
“Not in the potty?” That’s right!
“In your pants?” That’s a fantastic idea!
“Oh My God!”
Cool! That’s what I always says. Sometimes, I will replaced it with “Oh, Shit!” It is always better as it is simplier. Hahahahahaha……
Half an hour ago, she came around and said: “Mummy, Cheez… Cheez…”
“Wow… This is cool! Alright! Stand over there. Mummy will take pictures for you to show daddy, ok?”
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome “Doremon Mask Girl” has come to the rescue!
How’s the mask and my post, daddy? Hahahaha……She post like professional. And, mummy is so proud of my little Super Model. Ops… I think she prefer to be SuperHero! Hahahahaha……
Mummy was looking for some of the Montessori tools which I saw in many of the Kindergarten or Nursery for little Elizabeth in the book fair too. But, I can’t find any. Good too. As come to think of it, that’s not the point. It’s better to send her to school to learn ways of interaction too.
By the way, this is what she did in the trial class running by one of the nursery.
Good job, isn’t it?
Thanks to the teacher who patiently taught her and made this possible. Thereafter, she learned to put glue on small pieces of paper, then stick them on another big sheet with her own 2 hands. And, that’s the way she learn to recognize words now. Mummy will cut out the words from newspaper and she will stick them and pronounce them together with mummy.
Unfortunately, she still don’t know how to take out her shoes.
Well, later today she is also going for EEC English trail class. Well, too many schools and franchises. Thus, very competitive. Obviously, hard to make a choice too. LOL!
Books. She love books. Especially big books. So, some new coloring, abc, and 123 books from Popular great discount fair which discount up to 90% at the 5th floor in One Stop Shopping Mall.
There are more, because of the attractive discount.
Chinese learning VCDs. A set of 5 including one English Nursery Rhymes. All four Chinese learning VCDs are in perfect Mandarin. Good! Just forget about the English Nursery Rhymes. Sorry to say that the English pronunciation is so lousy.
By the way, it’s time to learn some Mandarin, girl! Mummy can see that you seem have no interest for it. That’s dangerous! Ha~
She plays with balls everyday. One of her favorite toys. Trust me! Ball is a must for every toddler.
Well, last time it was only those small colorful plastic balls for her. Now, obviously she has extended her interest to football. She loves basketball too. It’s so lucky that she can find both in her uncle’s room. So… that’s her football field or basketball court. Hopefully, this bed has one of those strong bed frames. Sorry, uncle Bill. Hahaha……
Besides, she is cheering for the baseball game now whenever she saw it in the TV show. Oh… Such a sporty little one.
What’s this? It’s Elizabeth’s thumb mold. It’s for splinting her thumb. Bad news! Her thumb is undergoing physiotherapy.
Luckily, no life danger, no serious injury. Just can’t get her right thumb straight up. According to the orthopedic and hand specialist, there is very high chance that her thumb will response very well to splinting and massage therapy.
How’s Splinting? Very uncomfortable of course. Thus, mummy will keep on massage her right thumb everyday and let her wears the mold only at night. As she will take it out as soon as mummy put it on during day time.
Let’s work this out together, baby! We can do it! Otherwise, Surgery! You surely hate it!
So…Let’s cross our fingers and pray hard! This therapy must work. No surgery, please……
Another sweet memory that mummy will never forget. It’s the first time little Elizabeth try out the pool slide while we were at KL on the 7th morning. She enjoyed sliding down with daddy so much. Laughing loud when the water splashed on her face. No more phobia of getting into the water. Just a little bit careful.
Mummy: “Come on girl, mummy will walk you up and let’s sit and slide down.”
Elizabeth: “Ok.”
When we were on top of the man made mountain right in front of the slide……
Mummy make little Elizabeth sat down, getting ready to let her slide down on her own, while daddy was waiting at the other end of the slide.
Mummy: ” Baby, go!”
Elizabeth quickly stood up and replied: “No, no, no, no.”
LOL! So cute!
I wondered when will you started to swim on your own. But, it’s good to swim. Make it a habit. Swimming is a joyful exercise for little ones like you. Keep you healthy, fit and slim.
Well, mummy knows weight loss pills has faster result. But, that’s only for adults.
Mummy bought the first book of “Peter and Jane” for me quite some time ago. Now, I started to like both Peter and Jane. But, the the dog is my favorite.
Peter and Jane goes to beach. So, I tell daddy I want to go to beach too. Daddy said: “Next weekend.”
“Ok.” I replied. Then, I showed mummy how I play skates like Jane by stepping on my two plastic blocks with wheels.
These are the blocks that I mean.
Look! That’s mummy’s first impression. Immediately, she said:”Mummy will buy the real skates for you. This is not skate. Stop “skating” with these. Ok?”
“Ok.” I replied.
So, this is what I get on Saturday night. Taa… Daa………
But, why it was no fun at all when I put it on initially? It is not moving. Gosh! Mummy actually locked the wheels. No, mummy! No!
So, the wheels were unlocked for the 2nd time I put it on. Oh! I am moving fast as mummy was pulling me. Cool! I am flying! Thanks, Jane!
It’s Friday again. No bookshop today. As mummy decided to let her go for the free trial of Montessori class organized by the school where she attended Kinder Beat Class there all the time.
In fact, mummy is kind of busy today. So, we will only sit down and read later tonight. For the last 2 days, this is what we have been doing.
Yeah… all fruits. Usually, she will ask for bananas, apples, oranges and grapes. That’s it. It seems that she is only familiar with these 4. But, she absolutely needs to know other fruits. Besides books and pictures, mummy is going to buy many types of the real fruits to show her.
Another better option would be bringing her to the fruits farm. As this curious little girl will surely interested to know how does the Blackberry plants look like, when she got a chance to see and taste the blackberries.
As usual, my little girl enjoyed the yum yum Bojari rice and fried chicken at Mdm Kuan. Then, she was truly excited and wanted to try it out when she first saw the indoor roller coaster at Genting Highland. But, we only went for marry go round, train, the gondola, and other high rise but slow moving rides.
Little Elizabeth: “Where is the train? Where?”
She just keep asking where to find that roller coaster whenever she it pass by. Gosh! Mummy was so scared. That’s dangerous! This little girl is kind of wild, isn’t she?
Well! Mummy enjoyed the most taking pictures for this little cheeky who just started posting.
“Say Cheez…”
So cute!
How about one more video featuring little Elizabeth’s act of “Bird flies”. LOL!
Elizabeth did join the party. That was almost the end of the dinner. She was a bit uneasy when she first step into the grand ballroom. After a while, she was busy eating sea coconut and longan dessert.
Mmm… Yummy!
Good! Just enjoy anything that you like. Take as much as you wish. It’s good to gain some weight back. But, eat slowly. And, be a graceful little girl, ok?
Huh? Who’s gaining weight now. Obviously, someone else is going to need the plus size sexy lingerie soon. But, absolutely not little Lizzy! Alright! Baby should eat more. Whereas mummy should loose some weight.
Anyway, could it be some of the yum yum sea coconut sticking between your teeth? But, not in the public. I think it’s time for you to learn not to dig your mouth in the public, baby. Must be well mannered. Let’s do it in the room or washroom. Hehe…
We are back. Unfortunately, little Elizabeth is terribly sick. Vomited 3 times in the car during our way to KL and on the journey home. “Daddy!” That’s the first word came out from her mouth every time she vomited. Then, she will hug her dad by the side while daddy was driving. Poor daddy’s girl!
Could it be motion sickness? Even her pediatrician can only said: “May be.” Yes! We have visited her pediatrician. Daddy came along with us. It’s virus Infection. Should be the phlegm that cause the vomits. Lots of phlegm. But, she coughs only once in a while.
Anyway, her voice changed since last Wednesday. So, it’s almost a week. Thus, so many medications.
Sorry, baby! Be brave. They might not taste good. But, they just won’t taste very bad either.
Mummy has packed for little Elizabeth. Just a few hours later, we will be on our way to KL. This time it’s either a 2 days or maximum 3 days trip. Anyway, I think this little miss will at least have a great time jumping in the hotel room and playing in the bath tub. I hope we have time to visit some interesting places such as Sunway Lagoon or The Mines Wonderland.
Anyway, we will surely drop by any of the Mdm Kuan’s Nyonya Cuisine. Mummy still remember how much this little cheeky loves the Bojari Rice. LOL! In fact, little Elizabeth has slim down a lot recently. So, please enjoy the food and eat all you can, my dear!
Don’t worry about gaining weight. Mummy will get the best diet pill for you, if your body really become out of shape within this 3 days. Hahaha…… This is quite impossible, unless you eat and sleep like a pig. Hahahaha……
Do you know that you are entering 28th months today, my dear? May be you will ask “How’s growing up like?” At this stage, it’s less TV, more playing times with your own imagination. At times, we make cookies with play dough, then we cook with real spices and vegetables. And, we toast the drink all the time. Let’s Cheers!
What more? Singing! Yeah…… you can sing along with the songs in Mama Mia. Of course “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “The Alphabet Song” sounds so much clearer. Most amazingly, I heard the right tune now.
But these days, you are such a “no no” child.
“Wear shirt?” No!
“Wear pants?” No!
“Bathe?” No!
“Music Class” No!
“School?” No!
And, you don’t even inform mummy when you need to go to toilet.
Alright! Alright! Mummy already talked to your teacher Lin this morning. So, you are not going to school anymore. Happy? So, what are we going to do next? I guess we got to start our home schooling plan all over again. Hope you won’t say no anymore. Hehe……
A few more question……
“Read books with mummy?” Yes!
“Drawing Class?” Yes!
“Chocolate?” Yes! ( Only 1 small piece each day)
“Playground?” Yes! Yes! Yes!
“Apple?” Yes! ( “Only apples, k? No more grapes!)
“Birthday Song?” Yes! Yes!
“Go ‘Kai Kai’?” Yes!
“Wear cap?” Yes!
“Wear Sunglasses?” Yes!
“Swimming?” Yes!
Besides, you are pickong up with you vocabulary. And, It’s Mummy now! No more “Mimi”. But, can you please let daddy go to work alone. That’s not the moment you can follow.
Also, you look great! Trust mummy, please! Stop dieting. Take more rice, soup, chicken, noodles, bread, biscuits and anything else that you like. GAin some weight back. That’s better!
